Beyond its reputation as a haven for wildlife and a treasured space for people to enjoy nature, the McLean Game Refuge focuses on educating the next generation of environmental leaders. Our Game Refuge Forest Ranger program, initiated in 2018, managed by Connor Hogan, has given over 25 college students the chance to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom and apply it directly in the field.

We welcome the community to this special presentation by current and past McLean Forest Rangers, showcasing their projects and research at the Game Refuge. Come hear what a day in the life of a Forest Ranger is like! The panel will share stories and will also explain how the Game Refuge helped shape their current careers.
